Privacy Policy: What This Site Collects, Stores and Shares

This site has no accounts, forms or comments, and it sets no cookies of its own. The place and item checker runs in your browser and sends nothing about your search to us. If you email us, we keep your message to answer it and to log any correction. This page says what changes if that ever changes.

What we collect

When you open a page, the server that delivers it receives your IP address, your browser type, the page you asked for and the time. That is how any website works, and the hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs. We do not build profiles from those logs and we do not combine them with anything else.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write.

What we do not collect

The site has no sign-up, no checkout and no comment box, so it never asks for:

  • Passwords or accounts
  • Payment details
  • Names or addresses through forms
  • Your location

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set cookies. We do not run analytics or advertising scripts at the moment. The fonts are served from this site, not from a font provider, so loading them does not send your visit to a third party.

If we add analytics, we plan to use a tool that works without cookies, and we will update this page before it goes live. If we ever add ads or affiliate links, this page and the affiliate disclosure will say what they collect.

Email you send us

We use your message to answer you and, for a wrong-rule report, to check the source and log the fix. The corrections log shows the venue and the rule, never your name or address. We keep messages for as long as we need them for those jobs.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email contact@bringcheck.com. In the UK and the EU, data protection law gives you these rights, and you can also complain to your data protection authority.

The site is run by Jim Jordan, based in the United States.

Changes to this page

We update this page when our practice changes, and the date at the top shows the current version. Read the terms of use for the rules that apply to using the site.
