NBA Arena Bag Policies: Bag Limits, Water, Cameras and More

We have not verified one league-wide NBA bag rule, so each arena page shows only what that arena says. The arenas we have verified set very different limits, from any bag that fits under your seat to a small clutch, so read each page. We have verified 30 of the 30 NBA arenas we cover.

Every arena sets its own rules

We have not verified a league-wide NBA bag rule, so this page does not claim one. Places that host NBA games also host concerts and other events, and each publishes its own limits.

Among the 30 arenas we have verified, the limits run from a small clutch of about 4 by 6 inches to bags 14 inches or more on a side, and the table below lists each one with its source.

Bag rules at verified NBA arenas

These rows come from each venue's own policy page and update when a venue is read again.

Questions about NBA rules

  1. We have not verified one. Each arena page shows what that venue's own policy says, with the source and the date we read it.

  2. We read each venue's own policy before showing a rule. The ones still marked have not been read yet, and we do not guess while they wait.

  3. Not always. The venues we have verified say their rules can change by event, so check the event page for your date.
