  • Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag. A small clutch about the size of a hand can come in with a clear bag. Other bags, diaper bags and packages that do not meet the size rule are prohibited.

Bag storage at the verified venues

Nationals Park: Binbox lockers sit outside the Center Field, Left Field and Home Plate gates from two hours before first pitch until one hour after the last pitch, in medium and large sizes for a small fee. Bags in a locker are subject to security inspection. You can also return items to your vehicle, and bicycle helmets can go to the free bike valet.

Capital One Arena: The arena will not check or store any of the listed prohibited items, and the page describes no bag storage.

Northwest Stadium: The pages describe no bag storage.

Audi Field: The guide describes no bag storage. Strollers that do not fold up can be checked at no cost just inside Gate A.

National Museum of Natural History: The museum has no coat check, bag storage or lockers.

Jiffy Lube Live: The pages read describe no bag storage.

Washington Monument: The page describes no bag or locker storage.

National Air and Space Museum: The pages read describe no lockers or bag storage.

National Museum of American History: A limited number of lockers are first come, first served, in small (16 inches high), medium (22 inches) and large (34 inches) sizes, all with a 12 inch interior width and 16 inch depth. Suitcase-sized bags most likely will not fit, and there is no other bag check.

National Museum of African American History and Culture: Lockers are first come, first served in two sizes, both 12 inches wide and 19 inches deep, 25 inches high for the larger and 15 inches for the smaller. They fit a backpack, purse or carry-on sized bag, but not luggage.
