An item that is not listed is not mentioned in the official pages we checked. Each row links to the page its rule came from.
Bag policy in detail
Approved bags are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, one-gallon clear resealable bags, and small clutches up to 4.5 x 8.5 inches. Each person may carry one clear bag and one clutch. Only purses or handbags that meet the clear bag or clutch size limits are allowed. The pages do not mention backpacks.
- Bag: Clear 12 x 6 x 12 in or 1-gallon bag, plus clutch
- Water bottle: Sealed up to 1 L or empty non-metal
- Outside food: Pages differ
Food and drink
Factory-sealed plastic bottles of 1 liter or less and empty non-metal, non-glass bottles are allowed. Glass containers and metal cans are not. The clear bag page allows outside food only for dietary or medical needs and for children under 2. The prohibited items page says food from outside vendors is not allowed but food and snacks from home that fit in a personal bag are. Hard-sided coolers of any size are prohibited.
Cameras and electronics
Cameras for still photography are on the approved items list, and can be carried around the neck or in the hand without the case. The pages do not mention camera lenses, tripods, drones, laptops, tablets and power banks.
Strollers and family items
Strollers are on the prohibited items list, with a stroller check for football games at the northwest entrance of Gill Coliseum. Medically required liquids and dietary or medical food are on the approved items list. Only clear diaper bags that meet the policy are allowed.
Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items
Small retractable umbrellas are allowed if they fit in a small personal bag, but may not be opened at any time in Gill Coliseum or Reser Stadium. Blankets are on the approved items list. Seat cushions are allowed, including ones with pockets or zippers, which are searched on entry.
Signs, flags and fan items
Banners, signs and flags must be hand-held, cannot block others' views and cannot be on a pole or hang from facades. Flags and signs on poles or sticks, including selfie sticks, are prohibited. Binoculars are on the approved items list and can be carried without the case.
Medical needs and accessibility
The pages describe no separate medical bag process, so ask the venue before the event if you need to bring medical items.
Security screening and arrival
All guests and items are subject to search, and fans with a prohibited bag must return it to their vehicle and move belongings into an approved clear bag.
Bag storage and lockers
The pages describe no bag storage. Football games have a stroller check near the arena's northwest entrance.
Oregon State home events
The clear bag and prohibited items pages are for all Oregon State athletics venues, and the 2026 gameday page lists Gill Coliseum with a 60 minute gate time. Those two pages are from 2017 and 2018, and the gameday page says policies can change by event.
