Of the 14 Canadian venues we have verified for cameras, 1 allows them and 13 allow them with limits. Rules can change by event, so check the event page for your date too. Each venue below shows its own rule, the official page it comes from and the date we read it.

How the verified Canadian venues treat cameras
Allowed outright: CN Tower.
Allowed with limits: Scotiabank Saddledome, Rogers Place, Canadian Tire Centre, Rogers Arena, Canada Life Centre, Bell Centre, BMO Field, Canada's Wonderland, Stade Saputo, Commonwealth Stadium, Rogers Centre, BC Place and Scotiabank Arena.

Cameras with a fixed lens up to 6 inches (150 mm) long are fine. Cameras with detachable lenses, or detached lenses, are not. The policy can vary for specific events.

Professional cameras with lenses over 2.5 inches, or any detachable lens, are forbidden, and so is professional video and audio recording equipment.

For Toronto FC and Toronto Argos games, non-flash still photography is permitted if the lens does not exceed 55 mm. Tripods, selfie sticks, monopods and wearable cameras such as GoPros are not.

Still non-professional point-and-shoot cameras are allowed for Jets games and certain other events, with no flash. Cameras with detachable lenses, or too big for a pant pocket, are prohibited, and so are professional cameras and recording devices.

At AlpenFury, all cameras and cell phones must go in a locker or the bins before riding. Metal detection is in place at that ride.
