Bag policy in detail
Each guest may bring one bag, such as a purse, fanny pack or backpack, if it is soft-sided and 16 x 16 x 8 inches or smaller. Hard-sided bags and larger bags are not allowed, and every bag is searched. Backpacks count as a bag, so one soft-sided backpack of 16 x 16 x 8 inches or smaller is allowed per guest. A purse or fanny pack counts as the one permitted bag and must be soft-sided and no larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches.
- One soft-sided bag up to 16 x 16 x 8 inches
- Clear sealed water up to 24 oz
- Outside food
- No re-entry
Food and drink
Bottled water is allowed if the bottle is clear, plastic, sealed, disposable and no more than 24 ounces. Sports drinks, carbonated drinks, cans, glass bottles and thermoses are not allowed. Guests are permitted to bring food into the ballpark. Outside food and drink is not allowed into the Home Plate Club, the Suite Level or the Left Field Lounge. The guide does not mention coolers. It bans hard-sided bags and any bag larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches, so a hard-sided cooler would not get in.
Cameras and electronics
Cameras and video recorders are welcome for personal use only. Guests are asked not to use tripods or monopods, to stay out of the aisles and not to block other people's views. The guide says guests should refrain from using tripods and monopods. It does not call them banned. Drones are named among the hazardous, dangerous or disruptive items that cannot come in. The guide does not mention power banks. The pages do not mention camera lenses, laptops and tablets.
Strollers and family items
The guide does not set a stroller size rule. Strollers and wheelchairs are not allowed on the escalators, so use the elevators or rotundas. Bags carried for medical reasons, such as monitors, pumps, prosthetics, prescription medication and hearing aids, are allowed after a security search. Diaper bags for infants, toddlers or a child with a disability are also allowed.
Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items
Umbrellas are permitted. They cannot be opened during play, and they can be opened during rain delays. The pages do not mention blankets and seat cushions.
Signs, flags and fan items
Signs and banners must be 4 x 8 feet or smaller. They cannot be hung on a fence, railing or fascia or block sightlines, and commercial, political, derogatory or obscene messages are not allowed. The pages do not mention flags and binoculars.
Medical needs and accessibility
Bags carried for medical reasons are allowed after a security search. Examples include equipment, monitors, pumps, prosthetics, prescription medication, special dietary supplements, hearing aids and breast pumps. Diaper bags for infants or toddlers, or a child with a disability, are also allowed. Ask a Security Supervisor if you have a question.
Security screening and arrival
All bags, clothing and other items can be inspected at any time inside the ballpark. The guide says there is no re-entry once a guest has exited PNC Park. Guests with prohibited items are asked to throw them away or return them to a vehicle, and the ballpark will not hold or store them.
Bag storage and lockers
The page says PNC Park will not hold or store any prohibited items, so there is no bag storage.
Pirates games and other events
The guide applies to the 2026 baseball season. It gives no separate list for concerts or other events, so check the event page for your date.
