Short answer

The Gorge allows clear bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches or small non-clear bags and fanny packs up to 6 by 9 inches. Food in one clear gallon bag, factory-sealed or empty reusable water bottles and blankets up to 50 by 60 inches are allowed. Coolers, cans, drones, GoPros and umbrellas over 36 inches are banned.

Bag policy in detail

Only small clutches, wristlets or fanny packs up to 6 x 9 inches, or clear plastic bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, are allowed inside. All bags are searched, and the venue can refuse entry. Clear bags, clear backpacks and clear totes up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches are allowed. Average-sized bags and backpacks, and large bags such as duffels and camping backpacks, are not. Small non-clear bags and fanny packs up to 6 x 9 inches are allowed.

Food and drink

Factory-sealed, unfrozen water up to one gallon per person, or an empty reusable bottle to fill inside, is allowed. In high heat, up to two gallons are permitted. Hydration packs must be empty. Food is allowed only in a clear one-gallon Ziploc bag, limit one gallon bag of food per person. Hard and soft-sided or large coolers are not allowed.

Cameras and electronics

Non-professional cameras are allowed. Cameras with a detachable lens and GoPro style cameras are not. Cameras with a detachable lens are prohibited. Drones are on the list of items not allowed. The pages do not mention tripods, laptops, tablets and power banks.

Strollers and family items

Strollers with brakes are permitted only if a small child is present. Wagons are not allowed. The pages do not mention a medical bag process.

Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items

Umbrellas larger than 36 inches are not allowed. A small compact umbrella with no sharp point is permitted. Blankets no larger than 50 x 60 inches are allowed. They must be carried outside of bags through security and do not count as an item. Outside lawn chairs and stadium seats are on the list of items not allowed.

Signs, flags and fan items

The pages do not mention signs, flags and binoculars.

Medical needs and accessibility

The pages describe no separate medical bag process, so ask the venue before the event if you need to bring medical items.

Security screening and arrival

Security uses metal detectors or a physical pat-down, and all bags are inspected. Guests with a medical reason to avoid the detectors can ask for a supervisor or medical staff for an alternative.

Bag storage and lockers

Depending on the event, lockers may be available to rent during festivals. Check the festival's site.

Concerts and festivals

Re-entry is not permitted except at selected festivals. Flow toys, hula hoops and glow sticks are allowed at certain shows, so check your show emails or the Know Before You Go page.
