Short answer

UBS Arena allows bags up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches, screened by x-ray or visually, with medical and baby bags allowed. Backpacks of all sizes, coolers of any size and laptops are banned. Outside food and drinks need a medical or special-needs exception, there is a bag check in the Great Hall, and there is no re-entry.

Bag policy in detail

Bags no larger than 12 x 12 x 6 inches are permitted and get x-ray or visual screening depending on size. Medical bags and baby bags are permitted and must be screened, and all other bags are not allowed. Backpacks of all sizes are prohibited. Purses fit the bag rule of 12 x 12 x 6 inches, with x-ray or visual screening.

Food and drink

Cans, bottles, boxed liquids, and metal, glass or insulated containers are prohibited. The arena offers touchless water fountains and refill stations. Outside food or beverage is prohibited, with exceptions for medical requirements and special needs. Guests should email Guest Services at least 48 hours before the event to arrange it. Coolers of any size, including soft-sided coolers, are prohibited.

Cameras and electronics

For most events small personal cameras without a detachable lens are welcome. Professional equipment, a lens greater than 3 inches, external flash, monopods, bipods, tripods and recording devices are not permitted without a media credential. A detachable lens or a lens greater than 3 inches is prohibited as professional camera equipment. Tripods, bipods, monopods, selfie sticks and poles are prohibited. Drones are on the prohibited items list. Laptops and personal computers are not permitted. The pages do not mention tablets and power banks.

Strollers and family items

Medical bags and baby bags are permitted but must be screened before entry. Current prescription medication in its original container is permitted with matching ID. The pages do not mention strollers.

Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items

Pointed-tip or large umbrellas are prohibited, and umbrellas are named among optical illusion items. The pages do not mention blankets and seat cushions.

Signs, flags and fan items

Small signs, banners and posters are welcome unless the teams or event management say otherwise. Signs, flags and banners larger than 11 x 17 inches, or on poles or made of hard material, are prohibited. Flags larger than 11 x 17 inches, or attached to poles of any size, are prohibited. Guests are welcome to bring binoculars.

Medical needs and accessibility

Medical bags and baby bags are permitted and must be screened before entry. Current prescription medication in its original container is permitted if the guest shows matching ID. Guests with dietary needs can email Guest Services at least 48 hours before the event.

Security screening and arrival

Bags are screened by x-ray or visually depending on size. UBS Arena has no re-entry policy to keep guests safe and the event smooth. Aisles must be kept clear, and guests with prohibited items cannot bring them in.
