Bag policy in detail
Each fan may carry one clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, plus a small clutch no larger than 6.5 x 4.5 inches. Unapproved bags go back to your vehicle, and free disposable clear bags are handed out around the perimeter. Backpacks are on the not approved bag list. A small clutch or wallet up to 6.5 x 4.5 inches, about the size of a hand, is allowed with or without a handle or strap. Larger purses are not.
- One clear bag up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches
- Small clutch up to 6.5 x 4.5 inches

- No umbrellas
Food and drink
Non-flavored, non-carbonated water in sealed plastic bottles is allowed, and so are empty plastic water bottles and sealed single-serve juice boxes. Metal and glass containers and thermoses are not. Food is permitted as long as it is in an approved clear bag. Small food items, formula and baby food are listed as allowed. The pages do not mention coolers. Only the approved clear bags, a gallon bag and a small clutch are allowed, so a cooler would not fit.
Cameras and electronics
Hand-held video and non-professional still cameras are allowed if game action is not recorded. The lens cannot extend past 8 inches or be wider than 4 inches, and tripods and monopods are not allowed. Camera bags are not on the approved list. A lens that extends past 8 inches or is wider than 4 inches is not allowed. Tripods and monopods cannot be used to stabilize a camera, and camera tri, dual or single leg pods are on the prohibited list for non-media. Drones and other remote controlled vehicles are prohibited. Computer bags are on the not approved list. The pages do not say whether a laptop can come inside an approved clear bag. Tablets and phones are permitted if they do not disturb others. Cellular phones, tablets, hand-held radios and other electronic devices are permitted if they do not interfere with another guest's enjoyment of the game. The pages do not mention power banks.
Strollers and family items
Strollers are welcome if they do not inhibit movement or block aisles. They can be checked at the Guest Relations offices at Section 128 or Section 322, and they may be searched. Exceptions to the prohibited items list may be made for medically necessary items. Guests go to an ADA screening lane at Gate A or E, and items can still be denied. Diaper bags under 11 x 11 x 15 inches are allowed after inspection.
Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items
Umbrellas are on the prohibited items list. Clothing and blankets are permitted if they are carried loosely or in an approved clear bag. The FAQ adds that blankets must be carried over the shoulder. Seat cushions without pockets, zippers or concealable areas are allowed up to 18 inches wide. Non-approved seat cushions are not.
Signs, flags and fan items
Banners and signs are permitted if they are baseball related and in good taste. Banners with commercial, political or obscene material or that block views are prohibited. Flags with poles sold in the Team Shop are permitted. Flags with other poles, or of a non-baseball nature, are prohibited. The pages do not mention binoculars.
Medical needs and accessibility
Exceptions to the prohibited items list may be made for medically necessary items. Go to an ADA screening lane at Gate A or E, where items are searched and can still be denied. The page asks guests with medical needs to call the Disability Services Manager in advance. Diaper bags under 11 x 11 x 15 inches are allowed after inspection.
Security screening and arrival
All bags are subject to search. Guests may leave at any time, and Gates A, F, J and K are set up as re-entry gates. The Diamondbacks will not check or store items at the gates and are not responsible for items left behind.
Bag storage and lockers
The clear bag page says the Diamondbacks will not check or store items at the gates. Fans with unapproved bags who arrive by transit, taxi or rideshare can pay for a Mobile Locker Company locker, which opens from a phone app. Free clear freezer bags are handed out around the perimeter.
Diamondbacks games and other events
The pages say the clear bag policy applies at D-backs games and all Chase Field events.
