Checked Source: Nissan Stadium policies page (nissanstadium.com, opens in a new tab)Verified by BC

Short answer

Nissan Stadium allows clear bags up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches and non-clear bags up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches, at NFL and other events. Strollers, umbrellas, outside food and hard-sided bottles are banned. Empty clear soft-sided water bottles are allowed. Lockers outside Gates 3 and 9 start at 10 dollars.

Bag policy in detail

The stadium strongly encourages fans to bring no bag at all, to speed up entry. If you need one, clear bags of any style up to 12 by 12 by 6 inches are acceptable. That includes clear cinch sacks, clear diaper bags and gallon Ziploc bags. You cannot empty a non-approved bag and collapse it into a clear bag.

A non-transparent bag can be no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches, even if you place it inside a larger clear bag, and it is still inspected. The clear bag policy is in effect for all Nissan Stadium events, NFL and non-NFL.

  • Clear bag of any style up to 12 x 12 x 6 inches
  • Non-clear bag, wallet or clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches
  • No collapsing a larger bag into a clear one
  • The same rule for NFL and non-NFL events

Food and drink

Outside food and beverages are on the prohibited list, and containers cannot be carried in, coolers, glass bottles and cans included. If you have a medical need, see a security staff member. Only clear, soft-sided empty water bottles are allowed, and water fountains are spread through the stadium.

For children under 2, the page allows clear plastic bottles or sippy cups with liquid, and baby food, snacks and formula in plastic containers, with no glass.

Cameras and electronics

Still cameras are permitted, but a camera cannot be carried in its own bag, and lenses over 6 inches are not allowed. Video cameras and other recording devices, tripods, poles and selfie sticks are on the prohibited list, and so are drones. Concerts and special events may add restrictions.

Small tablets with a screen of 10 inches or less are permitted, and the stadium asks that you use them at your seat. Small single-speaker radios and headphones are permitted for Titans games. The page does not mention laptops or power banks.

Strollers and family items

Strollers are not permitted at any event, and baby seats are on the prohibited list. A baby carrier or harness is permitted. Children under 2 can sit on a lap without a ticket.

Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items

Umbrellas are not permitted, and the stadium tells you to leave them in your vehicle or put them in a locker. Blankets, jackets and coats are permissible, and so is battery operated clothing. Lotion sunscreen is permitted, while aerosol sunscreen is not.

Seat cushions are a point where the page disagrees with itself. They appear on the prohibited list, but a separate entry says enclosed cushions with no zippers or metal pieces are permitted. Folding and standalone chairs are prohibited.

Signs, flags and fan items

Signs up to standard poster board size, 28 by 22 inches, are allowed if they are not attached to any part of the stadium and do not block anyone's view. Banners or flags on sticks or poles are strictly prohibited. Horns, whistles and other noisemakers, footballs, inflatable balls and balloons are prohibited too. For concerts, the sign rules can change at the artist's or management's discretion.

Medical needs and accessibility

Medically necessary items are permitted at all stadium gates, and you can ask for a separate security screening. Medical staff and paramedics are on duty during the game.

Security screening and arrival

The stadium is smoke-free and vape-free, with no designated smoking areas, and re-entry is prohibited. Weapons of any kind are prohibited, any item with a blade included. Sound-amplification equipment is not permitted, parking lots included.

Bag storage and lockers

Lockers for oversized bags and prohibited items can be rented outside Gates 3 and 9 for 10 dollars and up. Locker locations may change for non-Titans events. The stadium says not to discard or hide prohibited items outside the gates, because unattended items are confiscated.

Titans games and other events

The bag rule is the same for NFL and non-NFL events. The page says additions can be made to the prohibited list for concerts and other non-sporting events, and updates go on the stadium website and social channels.
