Short answer

Ascend Amphitheater allows clear tote bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches or a small clutch up to 6 by 9 inches. Strollers, umbrellas, tablets, coolers and outside chairs are banned. You can bring up to a gallon of water in a soft plastic bottle, a small blanket and a backless stadium cushion.

Every rule at Ascend Amphitheater

An item that is not listed is not mentioned in the official pages we checked. Each row links to the page its rule came from.

Bag policy in detail

The venue allows clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, and small clutch bags up to 6 by 9 inches. A bag of 6 by 9 inches or smaller does not need to be clear. No other bags of any type are allowed.

Medical and diaper bags are allowed, and the venue searches and tags them. All bags are searched on entry, and guests can refuse a search while the venue can refuse entry. Items that are not allowed have to go back to your vehicle.

Food and drink

Each person may bring up to one gallon of water, in a sealed or unsealed container, and only soft, squeezable plastic bottles are permitted. Outside food and drinks are prohibited, picnic baskets, coolers, cans and glass containers included. The prohibited list also bans other beverages and camelbacks except sealed water, which does not quite match the gallon rule, so check the Day of Show Information tab.

Water fountains are near all restroom locations, and refill stations are on the east and west sides. Alcohol cannot be brought in.

Cameras and electronics

The standard policy allows camera phones, disposable cameras and small digital cameras. A camera with a detachable lens, or a lens that extends more than 1 inch, counts as professional and is not allowed, and neither are 35mm professional film cameras. Some artists do not permit cameras or audio recording, so check your show.

iPads and tablets, GoPros, audio and video recorders, selfie sticks, pen lights and laser pointers are prohibited. The pages do not mention laptops or power banks.

Strollers and family items

Strollers are not permitted, because there is nowhere to store them, and car seats are prohibited. Breast pumps are allowed. Children 2 and under do not need a ticket but must sit on a parent's lap.

Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items

Umbrellas are never permitted, and the show goes on in rain unless the venue says otherwise. Small blankets and beach towels up to 3 by 5 feet are allowed, and large blankets are not. Backless, legless stadium cushions are allowed. Outside lawn chairs are not, though lawn chairs can be rented on site for most shows. Fans and neck fans are allowed.

Signs, flags and fan items

Signs larger than 8.5 by 11 inches are not allowed, and signs have to be suitable for all ages. Confetti bombs, poi and rave balls, levitation and rave sticks, frisbees, footballs and inflatable chairs are prohibited. Masks covering the face are not allowed when entering or buying at concessions, and any face covering has to come off on request.

Medical needs and accessibility

Medical and diaper bags are allowed after a search and tag. If you have a medical reason not to use the metal detectors, tell a gate staff member and they will offer another way to search you. If you need a needle for medication, the venue asks you to use its medical office.

Security screening and arrival

Guests go through weapons detectors, and bags are searched. Gates usually open 60 to 90 minutes before showtime. Re-entry is not permitted, and if you leave you need a new ticket.

Bag storage and lockers

The pages do not describe bag storage or lockers. They say to return items that are not allowed to your vehicle, and the venue has no dedicated parking lot.

Shows and special events

The page says what you may bring varies by show, and that permitted items can change at the tour's request. Check the Day of Show Information tab for your date.
