Short answer

Bank of America Stadium follows the NFL clear bag policy: a clear bag up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches or a purse or clutch up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Strollers, umbrellas, laptops and coolers are banned. You may bring two sealed 16.9 ounce water bottles per person. Blankets are allowed only in winter.

Bag policy in detail

The team and the NFL enforce a clear bag policy. Approved items go in a transparent plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or in a purse, bag, clutch or fanny pack no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches.

Non-transparent bags are prohibited, backpacks, binocular and camera cases, cinch bags, computer bags and diaper bags included. The stadium encourages you to bring no bag at all, to speed up entry.

Food and drink

Food and beverages are not permitted, with one exception: each person can bring two sealed, non-flavored 16.9 ounce water bottles. Coolers and beverage containers, cups, cans and bottles included, are prohibited, and so are souvenir cups.

Alcohol cannot be brought in, and anyone who tries is not admitted.

Cameras and electronics

Compact still cameras and binoculars are permitted if they do not interfere with the event. Video cameras, GoPros, tripods, monopods, selfie sticks and cameras with a detachable lens are not. Laptops are prohibited, while tablets are permitted and inspected.

A small portable radio or television is allowed if you listen with an earpiece or headphones. EZ Charger Rental kiosks rent battery packs inside, at 110, 120, 135 and 318 near the North East Lobby. Battery-operated neck fans are permitted.

Strollers and family items

Strollers and baby seats are prohibited. Strapped baby carriers and baby wraps without solid or mesh pockets or zippers are permitted, while combination carriers and single stool carriers are not, because of their size. Every child 12 months and older needs a ticket.

Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items

Umbrellas are prohibited. Blankets are allowed during the winter months, and you shake them out at security. Seat pads without covers, zippers, clasps or pockets are permitted, and folding chairs are prohibited.

Signs, flags and fan items

Banners, signs and flags have to relate to football or the event, carry no commercial messages, logos or political endorsements, and be small enough for one person to hold, at most 24 by 24 inches. They cannot be attached to the stadium or to poles or sticks, and each person can show one. National flags are not covered by the football-related rule.

Horns, bells, whistles and other noisemakers, balloons, all balls and laser pointers are prohibited.

Medical needs and accessibility

Containers for medical supplies, such as diabetic supplies, are permitted after an approval process, and the pages give two numbers to call for details. If you have a bag subject to inspection, the page tells guests with disabilities to go to the far left or right side of the gate.

Security screening and arrival

Everyone and their belongings are searched, and guests go through magnetometers. Gates normally open two hours before kickoff. The stadium is smoke-free. Prohibited items found at the gates have to go back to your vehicle or be discarded.

Bag storage and lockers

The pages do not describe bag storage or lockers. Items that are prohibited have to be returned to your vehicle or discarded.

Panthers games and other events

These rules are written for Panthers games. The stadium also hosts Charlotte FC and other events, and the pages do not give separate lists for them, so check the event page for your date.
