Short answer

Lucas Oil Stadium requires clear bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, plus a small clutch about the size of a hand for Colts games. Backpacks, large purses, outside food and liquid containers are banned. An empty plastic water bottle is allowed, and small compact umbrellas go under the seat.

Bag policy in detail

Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag. For Colts games a small clutch, no larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches, can come in as well. Diaper bags follow the same rule, and each family member can carry an approved clear bag. Large purses, bags and backpacks are not permitted, and the Colts page says no regular purses or backpacks. Regular purses are not permitted. A small clutch, about the size of a hand or no larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches, is allowed in addition to a clear bag at Colts games.

Food and drink

Guests may bring in an empty plastic water bottle and fill it at the water stations. Liquor containers, bottles, cans and liquid containers are prohibited. Outside food and beverages are not permitted, and food not sold by the stadium concessionaires is prohibited. Guests with special medical or dietary needs are an exception. Coolers are prohibited, except for guests with special medical or dietary needs.

Cameras and electronics

At Colts games, still cameras are permitted if the lens is no longer than 4 inches extended, and video cameras are prohibited. At other events the promoter decides. Lens length is restricted to 4 inches extended for still cameras at Colts games. The pages do not mention tripods, drones, laptops, tablets and power banks.

The pages say poles and sticks of any kind are not permitted, and that video cameras can be banned at the promoter's discretion at other events.

Strollers and family items

Strollers should not block aisles or obstruct another patron's view. The pages set no other stroller rule. Bags containing medical devices and related supplies, breast pumps included, are not subject to the clear bag policy but are searched at the gates. Breast milk and required medications are allowed in a clear bag or container. Medical exceptions are permitted at all gates.

Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items

Small, compact umbrellas are permitted and must be placed securely under the seat. The pages do not mention blankets and seat cushions.

Signs, flags and fan items

Banners are permitted on an event-by-event basis if they are in good taste and do not block views or stadium signage. They cannot be affixed to the stadium, and poles and sticks of any kind are not permitted. The pages do not mention flags and binoculars.

Medical exceptions are permitted at all gates. Bags with medical devices and supplies, breast pumps included, are exempt from the clear bag policy but searched, and breast milk and required medications go in a clear bag or container.

Security screening and arrival

Anyone who enters is subject to security screening, on event and non-event days. Guests can refuse a search, but management can refuse entry. At Colts games you cannot re-enter once you exit the gated area, while pass outs for other events are up to the promoter. Smoking and tobacco are only allowed in designated areas outside.
