Acrisure Stadium Entry Rules: Bags, Water, Food and Cameras

Food of any kind is allowed if it is in a clear plastic bag. Factory-sealed plastic bottles of water or soft drinks, 24 ounces or less, are allowed too. Alcohol, cans, coolers of any type, glass bottles and thermoses are not.

Still cameras with a lens of 6 inches or shorter are permitted when they are not in a case. Camera bags, video cameras, video equipment and video recording of events are not permitted. Selfie sticks are prohibited, and so are laptop computers and drones.

The A-Z guide says tablets and iPads smaller than 12 by 6 by 12 inches are permitted and inspected on entry. Portable phone chargers and heated clothing with lithium-ion packs up to 3 by 6 by 1 inches are allowed. Battery packs filled with loose AA, C or D cells are not.

Strollers are not permitted. Diaper bags containing medically necessary items are allowed after inspection at the gate, while other diaper bags count as non-clear bags and are not.

Umbrellas may be brought in but cannot be opened, in the Ford Fan Zone either. Hand-carried jackets and blankets are allowed and are searched. Seat cushions are not permitted.

Banners and signs are permitted if they are in good taste, do not obstruct another fan's view or any stadium signage, and carry no commercial messages, logos or political endorsements. They cannot be on poles. Noisemakers, laser pointers and balls of any kind, footballs included, are prohibited, and so are items with profane or abusive language.

An exception is made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the gate. If you need to bring in medication or medical supplies that do not meet the security rules, the guide says to complete the Accessibility Request Form for entry instructions.

Everyone and their belongings are screened on entry and may be searched on exit. At certain gates you can walk through screening machines without removing keys, phones, coats or bags. Exit and re-entry are not permitted, and the guide points medical emergencies to the Guest Services kiosk at Gate B. Items that are not permitted have to be disposed of or returned to your vehicle, since the stadium is not responsible for items left at the gates.

The pages do not describe bag storage or lockers. Bicycles are prohibited on the stadium campus on game days, concerts and special events.

The clear bag page is written with the NFL, and the A-Z guide also refers to Pitt Panthers games and concerts. The pages do not give a separate list for other events, so check the event page for your date.
