Short answer
Arrowhead Stadium follows the NFL clear bag policy: a clear bag or clear backpack up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches, a one-gallon bag, or a non-clear bag up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Outside food, coolers, seat cushions and tripods are banned. One sealed 20 ounce water bottle per guest is allowed.

An item that is not listed is not mentioned in the official pages we checked. Each row links to the page its rule came from.
Bag policy in detail
Approved bags are a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches with no hardware or decor hiding it, and a one-gallon clear freezer bag. A non-clear bag up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches can be carried along with one of the clear options. Clear backpacks no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches are on the approved list. Other backpacks are listed as not approved. Purses are not approved bags, apart from non-clear bags of any kind that are no larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches. A clear bag within 12 x 6 x 12 inches also works.
The clear bag page lists fanny packs and belt bags larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches as not approved, while the A to Z guide says belt bags and fanny packs of any kind are prohibited, so treat them as not allowed. Diaper bags are also on the not-approved list.
- Clear bag or clear backpack up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches
- One-gallon clear freezer bag
- Non-clear bag up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches
- No seat cushions, binocular cases or camera cases
Food and drink
Each guest can bring one factory-sealed bottle of water of 20 ounces or less. Other bottles and cans are prohibited, and plastic baby bottles are permitted after inspection. Outside food is prohibited. Guests with medical dietary restrictions can call Fan Experience ahead. Coolers are prohibited.
Flasks and outside alcohol are prohibited. Anyone found hiding alcohol in a pat-down can be refused entry.
Cameras and electronics
Small still cameras, meaning smaller than 6 inches in length and width, are permitted if they are not in a case or bag. Video cameras and professional cameras are prohibited, and so is filming on a phone without written permission from stadium management. Camera lenses longer than 6 inches, detachable or not, are not permitted. Tripods and monopods are not permitted, and neither are selfie sticks. Drones and any other aerial vehicles are prohibited at or near the stadium, parking areas included. Computers are prohibited inside the stadium. Tablets such as iPads are permitted if they are smaller than 12 x 6 x 12 inches and can be powered on during security screening. The pages do not mention power banks.
Strollers and family items
Strollers are permitted if a ticket was bought for the child. The stroller must be collapsible and fit under the seating area, and large strollers are prohibited. Umbrella strollers are permitted after inspection. Car seats are not. An exception is made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. Breast pumps and supplies are permitted in a clear bag up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches.
Umbrellas, blankets and comfort items
Small compact umbrellas can be brought in, but they cannot be used inside the seating bowl because they block the view. Blankets are permitted if they are carried through security over the shoulder, not in a bag. Seat cushions are on the list of non-approved bags and items.
Signs, flags and fan items
Signs and banners are permitted if they are no larger than 3 x 5 feet, event-related and in good taste, and do not block sightlines or stadium signage. Poles of any kind are not permitted. Flags are permitted if they are no larger than 3 x 5 feet and not commercial, offensive or in poor taste. Flag poles of any kind are not permitted. Binoculars are permitted if they are not carried in a case or bag of any kind. They are inspected.
Medical needs and accessibility
An exception is made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. Lanes that accept bags are signed at the gates. Electrical outlets are available inside for recharging wheelchairs, scooters and other medical equipment.
Security screening and arrival
Everyone is wanded, and some guests get a same-gender pat-down. All items are inspected. Once you leave through the gates you cannot come back in, because there is a no re-entry policy for most events including Chiefs games, though some events adjust it. Helmets, footballs and floor mats are prohibited.
Bag storage and lockers
The pages do not describe bag storage or lockers.
Chiefs games and other events
The rules above are written for Chiefs games. The A to Z guide says other events may adjust the re-entry rule and gate times, so check the event page for your date.
