1 more venues are queued for review and will join this table once their rules have a source and a date.

What binoculars rules look like

  • Of the venues we have checked, 47 allow binoculars plainly, 50 allow them with conditions and 2 do not allow them. 202 do not mention them.
  • The usual condition is no case. Acrisure Stadium, Bank of America Stadium and Allegiant Stadium allow binoculars and ban the case, and AT&T Stadium wants them worn around the neck.
  • A few venues allow a small case. Climate Pledge Arena allows cases up to 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches, Fiserv Forum up to 10 x 6 x 2, and Ford Field up to 4.5 x 6.5.
  • Clear bag venues often treat a binocular case as a bag that is not clear. Carry the binoculars in your hand or around your neck, or put them in your clear bag.

Before you go

  1. 1Leave the case at home or put the binoculars inside your clear bag.
  2. 2Choose compact binoculars. They move through security faster and are easier to keep out of other fans' way.
  3. 3Check the camera rule too, because some venues write the two together.

Questions about binoculars

  1. Yes at most venues that mention them. Many ask you to leave the case at home, so read the venue page.

  2. Often not. Clear bag policies usually list binocular cases among bags that are banned, though a few venues allow a small one.

  3. Usually, but check the event. Some arenas and amphitheaters do not mention binoculars, and we say so on the venue page.
